The Association of patriotic monks in Soc Trang province held on January 23 its year-end meeting to review its performance in 2017 and outline the working plan for 2018.
Attending the meeting included Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dương Sà Kha and Chairman of the provincial Committee for Ethnic Affairs Lý Bình Cang.
As reviewed at the congress, in addition to the successful organization of its 8th Congress in 2017, the Buddhist association has made practical contributions to socio-development in the locality, including social charities worth over VND 4 billion and organization of Khmer language classes for Khmer children by Buddhist pagodas.
