The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) held on November 27 a charity concert to raise fund for flood-hit people in the Central region.
The concert entitled "Ganh nhau trong doi" (Mutual help in life) taking place at Adora Center in Ho Chi Minh city attracted over 1,000 participants.
The event featured performances from famous singers such as Thu Phương, Quang Lê, Quang Linh, Cẩm Vân, Khắc Triệu, Cece Trương, Mỹ Lệ, Phương Anh, Ngọc Mai, Hải Phượng, saxophonist Trần Mạnh Tuấn, An Trần, Lumen choir, etc.
According to Priest Joseph Đào Nguyên Vũ, Chief of the CBCV’s office, over 12 billion VND has been collected during the charity concert. The money will be used for supporting flood victims in central provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh.
The charity program will continue receiving all contributions from people through the CBCV’s Office. The program’s organization board will be responsible for plans for sending seedling, animal husbandry, production costs and covering home repairs etc for residents seriously affected by floods in the Central region.
