Archbishop of Hue Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh on May 4 visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Thua Thien Hue province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2020 (B.E 2564).
Welcoming the Catholic dignitary was Most Venerable Thích Đức Thanh, Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee.
Speaking with the hosts, Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh who is currently President of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Vietnam extended warm greetings to VBS dignitaries and followers in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2020. He expressed hope that cordial relations and exchanges between followers of Catholicism and Buddhism would be further promoted in the coming time.
Most Venerable Thích Đức Thanh took the chance to thank the delegation for visit and hoped that followers of the two religions will strengthen its close relation and foster coordination in social charities in localities.
