The Ante-Creation Caodai Church’s representative committee in Tien Giang province reviewed its first-quarter performance at a meeting held on February 3 in Minh Duc oratory located in the province’s My Tho city.
Attending the event were Archbishop Member of the Ante-Creation Caodai Church’s Standing Committee Thượng Phương Thanh, Bishops Ngọc Nhẫn Thanh and Hương Tú, Vice Chairmen of the Caodai Church’s representative committee, and representatives of 23 Caodai parishes in the province.
Guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Tien Giang Trần Văn Khuê.
As reported, in the first quarter 2020, the contribution in social charities by the Caodai Church in Tien Giang in providing free medical examinations to 5,515 poor people and ambulances transporting 62 poor patients, and supporting education of underprivileged children, etc, was valued at nearly five hundred million VND.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Trần Văn Khuê spoke highly of practical contributions made by the Caodai Church for the province, as well as asked Caodai parish’s management boards in the locality to enhance the communication work for raising religious followers’ awareness of the danger of coronavirus (nCoV) and preventive measures as announced by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).
