Attending the meeting were large numbers of dignitaries from the Church’s central executive committee and subordinate bodies, and 250 Caodai delegates representing 131 oratories nationwide.

Guests at the event included representatives from the provincial commission for mass mobilization, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s committee in the province, the provincial committee for religious affairs and local authorities of Chau Thanh district.

At the year-end meeting

As reported at the year-end meeting, in the year 2018, the Caodai Church recorded many good results in religious affairs, such as establishing a new executive board, building and inaugurating five oratories and two ancillary worshipping places with a total cost of over VND 514 million, and organizing 13 religious courses.

Regarding social charities, the Church’s dignitaries, deacons and followers from 16 chapter and 24 charity clinics contributed over VND 18 billion in social and medical charities for the poor patients and people with disabilities in 2018.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial religious committee Nguyễn Hồng Quân spoke highly of  achievements obtained by the Caodai church and also urged the church’s dignitaries and followers to uphold fine traditions under the motto for “The country’s glory, the religion’s enlightenment” with further contributions for socio-economic development in localities.
