The Ante-Creation Caodai Church held its annual meeting of its High Council for 94th religious year on February 19 at Chau Minh Holy See in Chau Thanh district of Ben Tre province.
The event saw the participation of Cardinal Thượng Bảy Thanh and Cardinal Ngọc Huyện Thanh, and members of the Church’s Standing Committee.
Local guests at the event included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Home Affairs office of Chau Thanh district.
The annual meeting reviewed the Church’s affairs during the 94th religious years and approved working plans for the next religious year, including the amendment of the Church’s Charter and the organization of grassroots-level general meetings for the 2020-2025 tenure.
According to the meeting’s report, for the last religious year, the Ante-Creation Caodai Church has recorded many good results in religious affairs, including the organization of 21 doctrinal classes for about 737 participants and four religious trainings with the participation of 357 dignitaries, etc. The Church also contributed over VND 18 billion to medical charities and supports for poor patients at four hospitals in the locality.
