The Upper Council’s of the Ante-Creation Caodai Church held its annual conference for 91st religious year on February 22 at Chau Minh Holy See in Chau Thanh district of Ben Tre province.
Attending the event were dignitaries of the Church, including Cardinal Thượng Thạch Nhựt and Cardinal Thái Huyện Tinh, and members of the Church’s Standing Committee.
Local guests at the conference included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Division of Home Affairs of Chau Thanh district.
The conference reviewed the Church’s affairs and religious practices in 2015. Accordingly, the Caodai Church successfully organized the General Humanity Council (2015-2020) with the amendment of the religious Charter as well as consolidation of religious personnel of functioning bodies for 2015-2020 tenure.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Hồng Quân highly praised the Church’s achievements over the past year and urged Caodai dignitaries, deacons and followers to make well preparation for important events in 2016 including the annual anniversary of Caodaism and inauguration of Founding Temple in Minh Chau Holy See.
