The annual conference of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) closed on October 16, 2020, after five working days held in Ho Chi Minh City.
This year's conference was attended by all members of the CBCV, residential bishops, auxiliary bishops and apostolic administrators from 27 dioceses, along with the presence of two Cardinals Jean-Baptiste Phạm Minh Mẫn and Pierre Nguyễn Văn Nhơn.
The conference focused on the pastoral needs of dioceses, working plans for some CBCV’s commissions, global situations and missions of the Vietnam Catholic Church in the post Covid-19 pandemic period.
On this occasion, Bishop Thomas Vũ Đình Hiệu, Chairman of Vietnam Caritas handed over one billion VND to Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, President of the CBCV for organizing emergency rescue teams to some terrible flooding sites in the central cities of Da Nang, Hue and Quang Binh.

As announced, the annual meeting for the first quarter of 2021 will be held from April 12 to 16 in Nha Trang Bishop Diocese.
