An Giang province: Binh Khanh Caodai parish holds general conference

Inter-commune Binh Khanh-My Thanh Caodai parish under Tay Ninh Caodai Church in An Giang province’s Long Xuyen city held its general conference for 2012-2017 tenure on April 14.

Attending the event were Priest Head of the Caodai Church’s Representative Committee in An Giang province Ngọc Năng Thanh, 30 delegates from Binh Khanh-My Thanh parish and 60 dignitaries and deacons representing the church’s 28 parishes in the province.

 Local guests at the conference included representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs.

The general conference discussed results of social and religious activities of the parish in the past term and approved the working plans for the 2012-2017 tenure.

As reviewed at the event, the parish contributed over VND one billion to medical charities and support for the poor.

 The one-day conference elected 9 members to the parish’s new management board for the 2012-2017 period and nominated 7 delegates to attend the Church’s humanity congress.

According a plan of the Church’s Representative Committee in An Giang province, the organization of the parish-level congress in the province will be all completed by May, 2017.
