Am Chua is one of festivals best preserving traditional rites of Vietnamese people in Khanh Hoa and the Mother Goddess worshipping.

Many conferment documents of Nguyen dynasty are being preserved at the monument.  In 1999, the Ministry of Culture and Information recognized Am Chua Monument as a national historical and cultural monument.

Am Chua Festival 2021 is taking place from April 12 to 14 with a strict implementation of the Covid-19 prevention and control measures.

According to legend, Dai An mountain is the place where the goddess Thien Y A Na descended on earth. She was the one who taught the people how to farm, weave, set up worshipping rites, etc. In honor of her merits, local people have built Am Chua temple for worshipping the goddess.
