Senior Venerable Thích Thiện Hảo was formally appointed as Abbot of Tu Tam Pagoda in Tay Ninh’s province Trang Bang district at a ceremony held on August 26 by the district Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) executive board.

The event saw the participation of Buddhist dignitaries of the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province, abbots and abbesses of pagodas and a large numbers of Buddhist followers.
Local guests at the event included Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Võ Thành Công.
Presenting the financial support for building charity houses to Gia Loc authorities
On this occasion, Tu Tam pagoda handed over financial support of VND 80 million for building two charity houses for two poor families. The new abbot of the pagoda also presented 200 gift sets worth VND 250,000 each set to poor people in the locality.
