60 purely bronze statues with gold plated, 80cm high, weighting about 60kg for each statue, cast following Thánh Gióng statue’s prototype at Sóc Temple by the sculptor Mr. Nguyễn Kim Xuân will be completed on the occasion of the 60th Liberation Day anniversary of Hanoi Capital.
On June 22nd, the ceremony for invoking sacred fire solemnly held at Sóc Temple in Hanoi. According to the plan, after completing the cast of 60 statues, the Organizing Board (OB) will perform rituals for peace, happiness, prosperity and spiritual initiation in Sóc Temple.
Then, these statues will be in procession around Hoàn Kiếm Lake to Temple of Literature, and displayed at Temple of Literature from October 1st to October 5th 2014.
This is an activity within the framework of the program "Thăng Long spirit - For peace and prosperity," organized by Vietnam Association of Historical Science, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, the Vietnam Buddhist Institute, the Capital Security newspaper and the Asian company.
