Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh (Nguyễn Văn Thọ), Chairman of Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Representative Committee in Tay Ninh province has joint Caodaism in 1964 and always promoted the good life and good religion model.
More than 7 years in charge of Caodai affairs in Tay Ninh, Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh has well performed his role for developing Caodai parishes in Tay Ninh from 75 to 78 parishes, building and repairing Caodai oratories in order to meet religious needs of followers in the province. He has also closely collaborated with local authorities for building civilized worshipping facilities.
Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh has successfully encouraged Caodai followers to proactively join in social charitable programs in the province for presenting charity houses and supports valued at 100 billion VND to the poor.
Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh, born in 1934 in Phuoc Vinh Tay commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An province, has recently presented thousands of gift boxes to the poor, worth nearly 1.5 billion VND.
With many outstanding contributions and achievements, Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh has been awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister and concerning local authorities. |
In the present nCov pandemic, Bishop Thái Thọ Thanh and the representative committee of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church have guided the management boards of Caodai parishes in Tay Ninh to organize religious activities at oratories in strict compliance with instructions of local authorities for preventing the spread of Covid-19, such as to hold religious gatherings of only no more than 6 people, keep distance from each other, and wear facemask while participating.
Responding a call from local authorities, the Bishop and the management boards of Caodai oratories have successfully raised funds for sending over 1.1 billion VND to local authorities for supporting Covid-19 fighting efforts and helping people affected by the pandemic; the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s representative committee has presented 70 million VND to the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for supporting the epidemic prevention work.
