Attending the event included President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Trần Thanh Mẫn, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee in An Giang province Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs’s representative, and Hoa Hao Buddhist followers from 22 provinces and cities in the country.

Addressing the event, Ven. Nguyễn Tấn Đạt, Chairman of the Hoa Hao Buddhism’s Central Executive Committee stated that the Hoa Hao Buddhist church and its followers will together strive for more successes under the motto “For Dharma – For Nation”, as well as actively uphold fundamental teachings of the Buddhist sect and proactively unite with other religions for practically contributing to social development in the country.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, Permanent Member of the Secretariat Trần Quốc Vượng and Chairwoman of Central Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai sent congratulatory flowers to the religious celebration, and President Trần Thanh Mẫn presented a model of Dong Son-era bronze drum to the Hoa Hao Buddhist church’s central executive committee.
