The Solidarity Society of Patriotic Monks in Vinh Long province solemnly held on January the Pāli elementary exam for the 2020-2021 school year.
The exam taking place at Ky Son pagoda located in Loan My commune of Vinh Long province’s Tam Binh district drew the participation of 62 candidates who are Khmer monks.
The exam’s opening ceremony saw the presence of Senior Venerable Sơn Ngọc Huynh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in the province, Chairman of the Solidarity Society of Patriotic Buddhist Monks cum Head of the exam’s organizing board and 80 members of the examination council.
The three-day Pāli elementary exam covered 11 subjects including Khmer Literature, English, Spelling, Writing Practice, Precepts for novice-monks, the History of Lord Buhhda, Pali Grammar, Basic Dharma, Religious Basics, Khmer Grammar and Mathematics.
Exam result has been announced on January 3, 2021.
