430 Catholic clergies voluntarily join pandemic prevention work in Ho Chi Minh city

The Office of Ho Chi Minh Cathedral Archdiocese has issued a notification asking bishops, priests and lay followers in the Archdiocese to strengthen measures for Covid-19 pandemic prevention.

The notification informed that, in addition to presenting daily necessities to poor households in the city, 430 clergies would voluntarily take care of Covid-19 patients in hospitals guided by the health sector.

These registered clergies will be provided with basic skills in the pandemic prevention work as well as implement medical isolation measures as prescribed when completing their work. Some clergies would be asked to take care Covid-19 patients without symptoms.

In the complicated context of Covid-19 pandemic in the city, the Cathedral Archdiocese called on local Catholics to strictly implement 5K’s message of the Ministry of Health and observe the social distancing imposed by competent authorities.
