About 35,000 Buddhist followers gathered on January 11-13 in Phat Quang pagoda located in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province for celebrating the Buddha’s enlightenment anniversary.
Attending the event included Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ministry Triệu Văn Cường, Mohanikay Buddhist sect of Cambodia Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong, Secretary of the Royal Government of Cambodia Chan Chea and Deputy Director of the Royal Cambodia Police General Prak Tha.

The three-day ceremony featured Buddhist rituals, follower-offering, chanting, mediation, preaching, as well as an exchange meeting with Cambodia’s Great Supreme Patriarch Tep Vong.
