The Representative Committee of the Islamic Community in Tay Ninh province held on November 22 a graduation ceremony for its 2nd Islamic tenets training course at Nourul Ehsan Mosque in the province’s Tan Chau district.
The event saw the participation of Head of the Representative Committee Haji Chàm Sá, local authorities’ representatives, and large numbers of Islamic dignitaries and followers from mosques from provinces of Tay Ninh, An Giang, Binh Duong, Ninh Thuan, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.
The 9-month tenet training course was held from February to November. Among students attending this course, there were 14 Cham ethnic people from Dong Nai province. During the training, Islamic participants were equipped with not only fundamental Islamic teachings and rites but also necessary life skills.
For the course result, the Representative Committee presented certificates of merit to two excellent students; 14 students were classified as very good and 25 fairly good.
