Attending the event included Bishop of Xuan Loc Diocese Giuse Đinh Đức Đạo, Former Bishop of Xuan Loc Diocese Dominic Nguyễn Chu Trinh, participating authors, and large numbers of priests, clergymen and clergywomen in the diocese.

Speaking during the event, Bishop Giuse Đinh Đức Đạo encouraged those with cultural and art creative abilities to contribute to promote good lifestyles and behaviors through the evangelization. Individual awards were presented by Priest Chairman of the Committee Paul Đoàn Thanh Phong to authors having composing genres of poetry, short stories, novels, plays, and songs.

On this occasion, the diocese also held a holy mass for 12 ^th anniversary of the bishopric ordination of Bishop Dominic Nguyễn Chu Trinh.

The New Land Arts & Culture Award is organized annually by the Cultural Affairs & Communications Committee of Xuan Loc Diocese.
