The Buddhist Youth Summer Camp 2019 themed "The Spirit of Thang Long" took place at Khai Nguyen pagoda in Son Tay district of Ha Noi city from July 25-28.
The Buddhist camping draw as many as 2,000 youth, age from 15-25, from 18 provinces of Ha Noi, Hung Yen, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Bac Can, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
The camp held ahead of the Buddhist Parents Day festival 2019 – B.E. 2563, aimed at promoting exchanges of knowledge and experiences amongst young Buddhists from the provinces and cities in the Northern region. The camping also created a healthy playground for young people and fostered gratitude to parents, and promoted social engagement such as charities and environmental protection.

During the five-day event, young Buddhists engaged in competitions art performance, games, Buddhist teachings, chanting, and meditation.
