1,200 Buddhist youths attend training camp in Binh Thuan province

About 1,200 Buddhist youths from Binh Thuan province and Ho Chi Minh city attended a training camp on July 22-24 at Buu Son Pagoda and Ocean Dunes resort in Phan Thiet city.

The camp was co-organized by the Buddhist Guidance Board in Ho Chi Minh city and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Binh Thuan province.

Buddhist dignitaries at the event’s opening ceremony included Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS Committee for Buddhist Propagation Thích Thiện Bảo, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS Buddhist Guidance Board in Ho Chi Minh city Thích Chơn Không, Venerable Chairman of Binh Thuan provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Minh Nhật.

This first camping was held with the theme “Being the source of love” and attending Buddhist youths from 14 to 30 years old and included a wide of range of many activities such as Buddhist chanting, meditation, games, prayer vigils for peace, exchange and competition about Buddhist knowledge, cultural festival, etc.
