Truong Sa island people regularly visit pagoda to pray for peace

According to Venerable Thích Nhuận Tựu, Abbot of Truong Sa pagoda seven households in the island usually visit the pagoda to pray for peace and happiness on occasion of the 1st and 15th day of the lunar month, the Buddhist Parents’ Festival and Tet festival.

According to Vice Chairman of Truong Sa district of Khanh Hoa province Đỗ Huy Minh, the island has 14 children with the youngest child born in the island more than a month ago and four oldest children studying at Truong Sa elementary school.

Mrs. Đoàn Thị Thịnh who is 46 years old said that, in addition to prayes for peace for families and children, the local households often pray for peace in the islands.
