According to Khanh Hoa’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a decision to recognize the sovereignty steles at Song Tu Tay island (Song Tu Tay commune) and Nam Yen island (Sinh Ton commune) in the Spratly island as national historic relics.

Two stone sovereignty steles erected in Spratly island in 1956, and were previously classified as provincial relics in 2011. The steles are evidence of significant value in affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty in the Spratly island. Vietnam’s sovereignty stele on Song Tu Tay (built in 1956) recognized as national relic.
