What do citizens do when they need to practice the rites of worship, prayer, expressing religious faith that they believe in? What are conditions for approval of religious activities ?
Answer: According to Article 5 of Decree No. 92/2012/ND-CP of Government dated 8th November, 2012 on detailed regulations and measures for implementation of Ordinance on Belief and Religion: citizens focus needs to practice the rites of worship, prayer, expressing religious faith that they believe , their representative submit registration dossier on religious activities to the Commune People’s Committee
The registration packet shall include: a written registration of religious activities, clearly stating the name of religion, principle and purpose, the representative’s full name, place of residence, the content and form of religious activities, place, time, number of participants at the time of registration.
Deadline
Within 15 working days after receiving complete and valid dossiers, the commune People’s Committee shall have to answer in writing, in case of disapproval, a reply must be in writing with clearly stated reasons.
Conditions for approval of religious activities
Paragraph 3 of Article 5 of Decree No. 92 stipulates conditions for approval of religious activities are
- Guiding principles, objectives, content of activities do not violate paragraph 2 of Article 8 and Article 15 of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion.
- There are legitimate places for religious activities.
- The representative must be a citizen of Vietnam who has sufficient civil behavior capacity, solidarity and national harmony
strictly abides by the law, solidarity and national harmony
