Yen Tu festival takes place with strict anti-coronavirus measures

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Quang Ninh province held on February 21 the opening ceremony of Yen Tu festival 2021 with tight measures for the Covid-19 epidemic prevention.

The ceremony was held with a limited number of participants while incense offering and worshipping rituals being organized simply but solemnly and strictly complied with the 5K recommendation of health sector for the Covid-19 prevention.

Earlier, simple incense offering to the Buddha and Truc Lam Zen patriarchs, and prayers for peace were both taken place at Hoa Yen pagoda and communicated online on social network platforms.

Yen Tu festival is annually opened on the tenth of the first lunar month, often drawing the participation of tens of thousands lay Buddhists and visitors.
