A movie titled “Mother Goddesses of Vietnam” is being produced, with expectation to help the public better understand the Mother Goddesses worship in the country.
Speaking at the press meeting on the movie introduction project, Executive Producer Đàm Lan stated that, with 4 sections covering 4 topics on the creation process of the Mother Goddesses worship, the role of the “Tu Phu” and the ancient and present presentation of the worship, the movie would give the public the most general view, normative information, the current practice and characteristics of the featured worship of the Vietnamese people with the aim of preventing the metamorphosis and commercialization of this kind of the belief.
According to Director of the film Nguyễn Quốc Quân, all footage will be filmed in many temples across the country. Every detail of the film will be tightly controlled by the consulting team before being introduced to the public.
As reported, the producers have been started filming. The movie consists of 108 episodes with plot for 50 have been adapted.
The film is co-produced by Nhat Nguyet Cultural Company and An Vien Television, and expected to debut in early of New Year 2018.
