Attending the congress included members of the Church’s Executive Committee and a large number of delegates representing the church’s dignitaries, deacons and followers from localities.

Distinguished guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn and representatives from other religions and local authorities.

The 5th Humanity Congress elected 11 new members of the Church’s Executive Committee for 2017 – 2022 term with Cardinal Trần Văn Huynh reelected as the Committee Chairman.

As reported at the conference, during the previous 2012-2017 tenure, the Church strengthened the Church’s personnel from the central to local, spent over VND seven billion for building and upgrading worshipping facilities, and conducted charity activities work nearly VND16 billion.

On this occasion, central state and local authorities presented certificates of merit to Caodai groups and individuals for their outstanding achievements over the past term.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn spoke highly of the Church’s achievements over the past years. He also expressed hope for continuous promotion of the Church’s fine traditions and further implementation of the motto “The country’s glory, the religion’s enlightenment”.
