Twenty-five deacons of Vinh diocese were promoted priesthood on December 3 at at Vinh Thanh grand Seminary.
This priesthood ordination took place at a grand ceremony to celebrate 137th anniversary of St. Francis Seminary, 25th anniversary of Vinh Thanh Seminary, and the completion of its renovation.
The ceremony was presided by Bishop Paul Nguyễn Thái Hợp of Vinh diocese and attended by Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident special envoy of the Holy See to Vietnam; Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc of Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese cum Chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam; and Catholic dignitaries and followers inside and outside the diocese.
