07/26/2021

Vinh diocese’s office has called on its dignitaries and parishioners to donate  necessities to the Covid-19 prevention work in Ho Chi Minh City.

As a result, the diocese has collected 60 tons of food and other necessities, and two billion VND in cash for supporting people who severely affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City.

Besides donating necessities to people in Ho Chi Minh City and epidemic-hit provinces, Vinh diocese’s office issued on July 20 a formal announcement to normalize Catholic mass and pastoral activities in the new situation.

The diocese also asked dignitaries and followers to continue strictly implementing the 5K recommendation for Covid-19 prevention, especially the disinfection, face mask, and social distancing.

However, inter-parish and deanery-level activities shall still be suspended, Sunday Mass needs to be held in sub-parishes instead of parishes to limit the number of attendents, and those returning from localities imposed with the social distancing or having Covid-19 cases were required to comply the isolation measure and medical declaration.
