The North-Central region fellow-countrymen association in Odessa city (Ukraina) has visited and presented relief support to Catholic families affected by Doksuri strom in Quang Binh province’s Quang Loc commune on October 10.
Quang Loc commune in Ba Don town has 7,000 Catholic followers with two parishes and three worshipping places. During the Doksuri storm, local people were seriously damaged.
During the visit, the association handed over VND 5 million to the family of Mr. Nguyễn Triệu in Vinh Phuoc parish who died in the storm, and 2 million VND to Hoang Trung’s family in Con Se parish who lost his fishing vessel in the storm. The association also presented 100 gift boxes (each set worth 500,000 VND) to the hardest-hit families in Quang Loc commune.
On the occasion, the overseas group visited and presented 110 gift sets to local residents in two districts of Loc Ha and Ky Anh in Ha Tinh province.
The total of charitable programs is worth nearly VND 118 million.
