On October 29th, 2014, at 37 Hung Vuong Guest House, Hanoi, the National Assembly External Relations Committee transferred a sum of 500 euros from Vietnamese monks, nuns and Buddhists in France to Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG).
Joining the ceremony were Mr. Trần Văn Hằng, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly External Relations Committee, Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Council, Major General Hoàng Văn Đồng, Vice Political Commissar of Vietnam Coast Guard High Command.
This donation was presented by Abbot of Truc Lam zen monastery in France to Mrs. Tòng Thị Phóng, member of the Politburo, NA Deputy Chairwoman during her visit to France Republic on October 7-12.
