Vietnam’s first lady Mai Thị Hạnh, wife of President Trương Tấn Sang visited Quan Su pagoda in Ha Noi city on March 1 to offer incense and extend New Year wishes to leaders of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).
Welcoming the first lady were Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council, Venerable Thích Thanh Điện, Deputy Secretary-General cum Chief of the VBS Northern Office.
At the meeting reception, the first lady took the chance to extend new year greetings to the VBS dignitaries and Buddhists across the country and encourage Buddhists to make practical contributions to the construction and defense of the home country./.
