The Government of Vietnam issued on December 30 a legal document for guiding the implementation of the Law on Belief and religion.
The official title of the legal document is read as the government decree No. 162/2017/ND-CP on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the Law on Belief and religion.
The Decree consisting of 06 chapters with 25 articles took effect on 1 January 2018, as the same time with the law on belief and religion.
The chapter 2 of the decree provides details on the use of scriptures, profession of faith, changes of representatives, religious collective-practicing places, the name and headquarters of religious organizations.
The chapter 3 covers the grant of registration for non-commercial legal entity of religious organizations, the dissolution of religious organizations and training institutions, and religious and belief worshipping and supporting facilities.
Meanwhile, the approval, appointment, election and nomination with foreign elements involved and fundraising, the receipt and management of donations from foreign organizations and individuals are presented in chapter 4 and 5 respectively.
In addition, the decree is attached with 53 sample forms of administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion for state authorities (6), and organizations and individuals (47).
