Vietnam Catholic solidarity committee in Central region reviews annual performance

The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) held on November 8 a meeting in Quang Binh province to review its annual performance in the Central region.

The event saw the participation of Priest President of the CSVC Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Phạm Thị Hân, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Minh Ngân and large numbers of Catholic priests and clergies.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Lê Minh Ngân spoke highly of practical contributions made by the provincial CSCV for the socio-economic development in Quang Binh province. He also informed religious practices of Catholicism over the past years in Quang Binh province.

Quang Binh province currently has over 102,500 Catholic followers, accounting for 11.5% the provincial population. Catholicism in Quang Binh under Ha Tinh diocese has two deaneries and 35 parishes.
