The event, held with the theme “Clean water – Urgent need” saw of the participation of 32 members from 13 Caritas of the Northern and Central dioceses often seriously affected by natural disasters.

According to the guidance of Dr. Rainer Eckart, expert on clean water of Misereor, the participants learnt about the clean water policy in the handbook on water of Misereor, particularly management, monitoring and evaluation of projects related to clean water.

The conference provided an opportunity for representatives from dioceses’ Caritas to reflect current usage of clean water in each locality and aimed to raise awareness of impacts of climate change on water resources.
