VFF President congratulates Vietnam Catholic solidarity committee on its 7th national congress of Catholics building and defending the Fatherland

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Trần Thanh Mẫn hosted on October 13 a meeting for a visiting delegation from the Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC).
The meeting saw the presence of Vice Presidents of the VFF's Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực and Nguyễn Hữu Dũng, and 28 members of the presidium of the CSVC led by Priest Chairman of the CSVC Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh.

While extending congratulations to the CSVC for successes at the 7th national congress of Catholic building and protecting the Fatherland and Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh for being elected as Chairman of the Catholic solidarity committee for 2018-2023 tenure, President Trần Thanh Mẫn expressed hope that the new-term Catholic solidarity committee would timely represent legitimate needs and aspirations of Vietnamese Catholics, well perform its role as a member of the VFF, as well as proactively join in programs and movements launched the VFF and state authorities for social stability and development in localities.
During the meeting, Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh informed results of the 7th national congress of the Catholics building and defending the Fatherland which selected 147 members to the new-term solidarity committee for the 2018-2023 tenure. He also pledged to promote fine traditions for enhancing social unity and contributing to patriotic movements in the country.
