The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee in collaboration with the VFF Committee in Phu Tho held on August 29 a workshop conference on policies and laws on environmental protection and climate change response for key members of religious organizations in the North region.

The event saw the presence of Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Phu Tho province Hồ Đại Dũng, Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Nguyễn Hải and about 120 key religious followers of Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism in nine Northern provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Yen Bai, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Hoa Binh.
The two-day event covered contents on current policies and laws on climate change adaption, the National Strategy on Environment Protection towards 2050, the National Strategy on Green Growth for the period 2011- 2020, vision to 2050; new contents of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020; the cooperation program promoting roles of religious organizations in environmental protection, etc..
The participants also visited and shared experiences in environment protection at Hùng Kings special national historica Hairersi and No Luc Catholic parish in Thuy Van commune of Viet Tri city.
