In the message to Vietnam’s Buddhist dignitaries and followers on the occasion of Vesak Festival 2016 – B.E. 2560, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Patriarch Thích Phổ Tuệ called on Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers to make practical contributions for the environment protection and climate change response.
The Vesak message 2016 of VBS Patriarch contributed to implement the coordination program between the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment with 14 religions including Buddhism on environmental protection and climate change adaptation in 2015-2020 period.
