VBS, Tran Nhan Tong Institute sign cooperation agreement

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and Tran Nhan Tong Institute under Vietnam National University (VNU) signed a cooperation agreement on Buddhist studies at a ceremony held on May 2.

The event saw the attendance of Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Thanh Nhiễu, VNU President cum Director of Tran Nhan Tong Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Kim Sơn.

The cooperation program includes exchanges of researchers and scientific materials, collaboration in the organization of seminars and training. In addition, the two sides will create favorable conditions for the implementation of training projects.

Tran Nhan Tong Institute is pioneering in research and training on spiritual heritage of King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong and culture of Tran Dynasty for preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and national identities. The Institute is also a venue for scientists and institutions from Vietnam and abroad to conduct research activities on King-Monk Trần Nhân Tông.
