A delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha led by Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Vice President cum General Secretary of the VBS’s Central Executive Council paid visits on December 1st-2nd to two Southern provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria -Vung Tau for presenting Covid-19 medicines to the two localities.
On December 2, in Dong Nai province, the delegation was welcomed by Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Hồng Lĩnh at a reception based at the Office of the provincial Party’s Committee.
At the reception, while extending greetings to the VBS on occasion of its 40th founding anniversary, Secretary Nguyễn Hồng Lĩnh highly appreciated practical contributions made by the VBS to the Covid-19 prevention work in the province in 2021.
During the event, the VBS delegation presented 10,000 sets of Covid-19 medicines and medical supplies at two billion VND to treatment of Covid-19 patients in the province.
* Earlier, on December 1st, in Ba Ria –Vung Tau province, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Văn Thọ hosted a reception for the visiting delegation of the VBS.
During the visiting, Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện also handed over 10,000 sets of Covid-19 medicines and medical supplies to the province.
