VBS launches e-administrative office in Ho Chi Minh City

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council launched on January 16 an electronic administrative office at a ceremony held in the VBS’s Southern Office base in 294 Thien Vien Quang Duc street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.  

The event taking place on occasion of the annual conference of the VBS’s executive council saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of the VBS’s Executive Council; Most Venerable Thích Thiện Pháp and Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Deputy Presidents; and Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Thị Minh Nga.

As announced, the e-administrative office was set up for connecting with the e-operation center at Quan Su pagoda and aiming at providing online meetings with the VBS’s executive committees of provinces and cities national-wide, and applying modern information technology and artificial intelligence in Buddhist affairs.

The e-administrative office would help introducing the Buddha's teachings and widely popularizing Buddhist values to all people.
