The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Board in Tien Giang province’s Tan Phuoc district held on March 2 a ceremony for inaugurating Cat Tuong bridge in Phu My commune.
Performing cutting-ribbon ritual
The event held in collaboration with the district Youth Union saw the presence of Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thắng, Head of the district VBS’s Executive Board, monks, nuns of the district VBS’s Executive Board and locals.
Local guests at the event included Secretary of the district Youth Union Phùng Văn Luân and representatives from local authorities.
As reported, Cat Tuong bridge in Phu Xuan village, Phu My commune has 39 meters long and 2 meters wide, completed with the total investment of 250 million VND.
On this occasion, the district VBS presented 50 sets of supports, worth 15 million VND, to poor people in the locality.
