A ceremony for handing over two charity houses to disadvantaged families in communes of Vinh Kim and Dong Hoa of Tien Giang province’s Chau Thanh district was held on June 29.
The event was organized by the Nun Affairs Sub-Committee under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s chapter in Tien Giang province in collaboration with Nam An pagoda located in the district’s Vinh Kim commune and local authorities.
During the event, two charity houses was handed over to disadvantaged families of Mrs. Lê Hữu Phụng in Vinh Thanh village of Vinh Kim commune and Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Hùng in Thoi village of Dong Hoa commune.
Besides, the two disadvantaged families also received cash donation of 65 million VND and 70 million VND respectively, in which 40 million VND from Superior Nun Chairwoman of the VBS Nun Affairs Sub-Committee in the province Thích nữ Tịnh Nghiêm and the rest from Nam An pagoda.
