The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Soc Trang province held on September a ceremony in Truc Lam Zen Monastery located in Soc Trang city to send food supplies to people affected by Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh city.
The event saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đỗ Tấn Hậu and Most Venerable Thích Minh Hạnh, Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS’ Executive Committee.
As reported, the VBS’s Executive Committee in the province has gathered supports from lay Buddhists and other donors in the locality for sending six tons of agricultural products and 10 tons of rice, worth 200 million VND in total, to disadvantaged people in Ho Chi Minh city.
