The event was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Ninh Binh province in collaboration with Xuan Truong construction company, and attended by dignitaries from the Central and provincial VBS and large numbers of monks, nuns and followers in the locality.

Distinguished guests at the event included Secretary of Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Thị Thanh and local authorities’ representatives.

The event featured preaching on the meaning of Buddhist Parents Day (Vu Lan) and the presenting rose ritual as a symbol of expressing gratitude to the parents.

On this occasion, the organizing board presented gift sets to Vietnam heroic mothers and pupils from disadvantaged families with good academic results in the districts of Nho Quan, Kim Son, Gia Vien.
