The Sub-Department Fisheries of the northern province of Hoa Binh in collaboration with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Chapter in the province held on August 19 a fish release program to help restore fish resources in Da River.
At the fish release program
The program released over 3 million breeding fishes, including carp, tilapia and sardines. These fish breeds have been examined to ensure they are healthy, fertile, and able to grow well in the nature.
The fish release is an annual activity, aiming to regenerate, protect and increase diversity of fishery resources in Da River, as well as raises public awareness of protecting fisheries resources and the environment during the process of aquatic farming and exploitation, and banning explosive materials, electric pulses, poisons for fishing.
