The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Ca Mau province launched on April 23 a charitable program for presenting rice to disadvantaged people in the province through “Rice ATM”.
At the program taking place in Sac tu Quan am Co tu pagoda (Phat To pagoda), each visitor would receive one bag of two kilogram of rice and an additional pack of necessities.
After the first day, over three tons of rice have been distributed to 1,500 disadvantaged people.
The charitable program will run until the end of Vesak Day 2020.
