On July 13, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council handed over two billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City for the Covid-19 prevention work of the city.
During the event taking place at Minh Dao pagoda located in the city’s District 3, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn also sent best wishes to doctors, nurses and frontline forces currently engaging in the pandemic prevention and control.
Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee in the city Tô Thị Bích Châu took the chance to thank practical contributions made by the VBS to the epidemic prevention work in the city over the past time, and expressed hope that the VBS’s dignitaries, monks, nuns and lay Buddhists would continue supporting social charity works in the city.
