Responding to calls of President Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Executive Committees of the VBS in provinces and cities have called on Buddhists to support for the Covid-19 prevention fund.
On May 27, during the nationwide online meeting held by the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for launching the Covid-19 prevention fund, the VBS Executive Committee in Ba Ria Vung Tau province presented 400 million VND to the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

On Jun 2, VBS Executive Committee in Ninh Binh province presented 50 million VND to the Covid-19 prevention work.
In Dong Nai province, the VBS Executive Board in Bien Hoa city shared that after five days of launching, 30 Buddhist worshipping places in the city have contributed over 200 million VND to the Covid-19 vaccine fund program of the Government.

On the same day, Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Vice President cum General Secretary of the Central VBS Executive visited and presented supports to the two provinces of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. In each province, the VBS delegation handed over 500 million VND in cash, 20 tons of rice, and 2.5 tons of sugar to the provincial Fatherland Front Committee for sending to workers in industrial zones and local people severely affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the locality.
