A closing ceremony for the Summer Retreat 2017 was held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Tien Giang province in Vinh Trang Pagoda located in the province’s My Tho provincial city.
Attending the ceremony included Most Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee Thích Huệ Minh, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thị Mai and over 500 monks and nuns of the Buddhist Summer course.
As reported, the Buddhist Summer retreat in Tien Giang province this year took place at four venues with the participation of 513 monks and nuns in the locality. In addition to the Buddhist training program, representatives of local authorities have collaborated with the Summer training course for disseminating state policies on religion and national unity to participating monks and nuns.
